Why Ecuador

Why Andean altitude grows a stronger rose.

Near-equatorial sun and cool Andean nights let roses develop slowly: stronger stems, larger heads and richer color without sacrificing vase life. That is why Ecuadorian roses command a premium with serious buyers.

The specifications professionals notice

Specs are part of the product, not an afterthought.

We don't sell generic "red roses" or "white roses." Each quote names the variety, stem length, farm availability and delivery route, so what you order is exactly what arrives.

Our story

Built by two Ecuadorians who know where exceptional roses begin.

Amira and Jose grew up in the valleys north of Quito, surrounded by farms sending their best stems around the world. Rosec was created to connect those farms directly with professionals who value origin, specification and personal accountability: no commodity middlemen, with one team you can call by name.

Every shipment should be one we are proud to put our own name on.

Buyer FAQ

Quick answers for florists, designers & wholesale buyers.

The questions buyers ask most, answered plainly. Need something specific? Request a quote →

What is the minimum order?

Approximately 250 stems (one half box) for new accounts. You can mix varieties in a single box.

What is the lead time?

About 7 days. Confirm your order by Friday for harvest and dispatch the following week.

How does payment work?

Payment terms are confirmed with your quote. Tell us your typical order and we keep it simple for new accounts.

How long do the roses last?

Handled well (recut stems, clean water, flower food), Ecuadorian roses typically give 8 to 14 days of vase life. Our own QC team in Ecuador checks heads, stems and hydration before export so your stems arrive with their life ahead of them.

Which countries do you ship to?

Weekly delivery across the United States and Canada. Other destinations are available by consultation based on volume, airport access and import requirements.

How much do the roses cost, and in what currency?

Farm-direct, delivered, per-stem prices typically run $1.25 to $2.05 USD, depending on variety, stem length and destination. All prices are quoted in US dollars; your exact price comes with your quote.

What are the stem and head specifications?

Stems are graded by length (typically 60-90 cm for premium work, 40-100 cm available), and heads run 70-80 mm, grown at 2,500-3,000 m in the Andes for stronger stems, larger heads and richer color.

Are the roses traceable?

Yes. Every shipment traces back to a named partner farm, variety and cut date, and moves from harvest to air hub within 24-48 hours of cutting.

Can you source varieties that aren't in the catalog?

Yes. Garden roses, spray roses and hard-to-find specialty varieties are part of what we source through our partner farms in Ecuador. Name the variety in your quote request and we will chase it for you.

Can you reserve Valentine's or Mother's Day allocation?

Peak-season allocation books out months ahead at the farms, so tell us your dates early and we reserve farm capacity for you. Last-minute peak miracles are the one thing we won't promise.
